Created by and for the community, the 2009 Norway Arts Festival features the 42nd Annual Norway Sidewalk Art Show and a myriad of Norway Downtown Festival Performances held in along Norway’s historic Main Street. More than 100 Fine Artists - Live performances of Dance, Poetry,
Giant Puppetry, Music, Drumming, Juggling and more! Every event is free to the public. Several lucky folks will go even home with original art for free! Over 100 artists from all over New England line the sidewalks of Norway exhibiting fine arts in oil, watercolor, pastel, multi-media, fiber, textile, jewelry, photography and more. Artists can enter work for judging: Best of Show - Painting, Photography, Fiber, 3-Dimensional and Jewelry. In 2008 over $5,700 in cash and purchase prizes were awarded. To register as an exhibitor, go to “Exhibitor Form” link above. Print out and send in the registration application by June 15, 2009 for inclusion in the festival program. A blend of vibrant performances highlight the Norway Arts Festival with dance, puppetry, mime, performance art and wide variety of music - reggae, bluegrass, songs from the 50’s and 60’s, |
classic rock, blues, fusion, folk, classical and more. Performances include: Rocky Coast Belly Dance, Trash Into Art, Poets on the Porch, Art Moves, live music by Nate Town, Al Mallory, Denny Breau Band, Felt's Orchestra, Stoned Mountain Boys, Gary Searles, Hillsman Chorus, Mary Ukelady, Lucinda Gail, Paul and Ellen Dube and many more!
